Any compatible IoT device such as smart pet collars, bike trackers, or environmental sensors can connect to an HNT Miner without Wi-Fi or cellular networks.ĭeeper Network is creating the world's first decentralized blockchain network to build a truly decentralized and secure Internet, Web 3.0 gateway, as well as bring a better Internet experience to millions of households. The Helium Network supports people who want to own and operate a wireless network for IoT devices. Thanks to developments in Web 3.0 security technology, Deeper Network is able to open the IoT+Web 3.0 application ecosystem with just one click, allowing other technologies to be built on its infrastructure. This newest integration shows that Helium continues to implement its vision of building a wireless network of IoT devices, which is an attractive project in the blockchain + IoT sector. Pre-sales have begun for the Deeper Network HNT Miners. Their Web 3.0 ecosystem already includes a DPN, D-Ads, and will include DeFi, DApp store, NFT marketplace, and decentralized e-commerce in the near future. Plus, your information wouldn't be leaked in the unlikely (but growing) event of a data breach.Aside from mining, Deeper Connect devices offer enterprise-class cybersecurity as well as a Web 3.0 gateway. This helps keep user data safe from hackers, advertising companies, and even government agencies when they browse online. All user information is stored on their personal devices, so your data never gets sent to centralized servers like it would with a VPN. The Deeper Connect Mini is one of the only Decentralized Personal Network (DPN) and cybersecurity hardware devices on the market. So if you want maximum control of all your data, Deeper Connect Mini Decentralized VPN & Firewall Hardware is a user-friendly Personal Network solution that works for a lifetime. Fortunately, a hardware solution provides even stronger protection than a VPN. However, even that kind of protection doesn't always feel enough to keep our most sensitive and confidential information safe. While robust passwords help you secure your valuable online accounts, hardware-based two-factor authentication takes that security to the next level. Okay so I hope I ask this without being confusing. Apart from the typical threats to raptors everywhere – habitat loss, hunting, poisoning, collisions with vehicles, and electrocution on power lines – migratory birds must brave hurricanes, blizzards, and other extreme weather, exhaustion, starvation and disease, which can spread quickly when large groups of birds concentrate in one area.ĭuring migration, Mississippi Kites often travel among mixed flocks of other migrant raptor species, including Plumbeous Kites, Swainson's and Broad-winged hawks, and Turkey Vultures. Though it might sound luxurious to have a winter and summer home, life for migratory species is difficult indeed. The Mississippi Kite is a long-distance migrant, meaning it travels very far to get from its wintering grounds to its breeding grounds, and back. All Mississippi Kites have pointed wings and are considered to be quite graceful in flight. Young birds are distinguished by the bands on their tails and heavily streaked bodies. Both the male and female are very similar in appearance and have overall gray bodies with dark gray tails and outer wings and lighter gray heads and necks. Though not as colorful as an Ornate Hawk-eagle, the Mississippi Kite is nevertheless a lovely little raptor. Mississippi Kites would definitely make very nice neighbors! What they do Within its breeding range, it has even been seen in wooded suburban neighborhoods. The Mississippi kite lives mainly at lower elevations and can be found in a variety of habitats, including riparian forest, open woodland, and prairies. In winter, it makes the long journey south, migrating through Central America and South America all the way to Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. Found in the Americas, this lovely kite spends its summers in the southern and eastern United States and breeds in such states as Kansas, Illinois, Arizona, and even recently as far north as New Hampshire and Connecticut. The Mississippi Kite, like migratory species everywhere, has a winter and summer home. We also supply literature to researchers from our avian research library, which helps scientists around the world gather and share important information on raptor conservation. Though The Peregrine Fund does not work directly with Mississippi Kites, our efforts in scientific research, habitat conservation, education, and community development help conserve raptors on a global scale. The teaching ofĬalculus-when to do it, and even why to do Researchers and educators are debating how calculus should best be taught to increasingly recalcitrant students I think a lot of the problems still exist. Here's the start of a hoary old 1988 news story in Science magazine. Perhaps not a bad idea to take intro calculus at a community college or maybe Khan Academy then do the university (UCF or UF) version. It was mostly just a test of perseverance. I think that a decade or so ago, some study indicated that ability to get a decent grade in large-lecture-class calculus had almost nothing to do with ability to become a good scientist. That boy's got somethin' wrong with his medulla oblongata. My classes had 30 students each, my friend at UF had 600 in his. When I had Andrews for Calc 1 & 2 at UCF, they were using the same book at UF. I made a lot of high B's that would have been B+ if UCF offered pluses back then. B for any prof at any school is probably a matter of that little extra attention to detail, along with "the gift". Dave Rollins and Bob Brigham were top notch as well.Ī vs. Excellent instructor (wrote a few math books himself) and reasonable tests. I think you can find reasonably current info on sites like (or something like that), but if Larry Andrews has not already retired, I would take him for any math class he offered. (1982)įrom doing UCF (including a math minor), I can say they had some outstanding professors and a few that many people would prefer to avoid. Calc 1 was MAC3311 when I took it as UCF, same course # at UF then (1981).Īt BCC back then, it had a different course #, I think because of it being a junior college, they weren't supposed to offer courses numbered 3000 or above.īut my roommate at UCF had gotten his pre-Engineering AA at BCC, which included their Calc 1/2/3 + DiffEqns sequence, and admitted with no issues or retakes. The state university courses, especially undergrad, should be directly transferable. That the stalk should not be as even as a cocktail tube. A slight unevenness should give your rose natural look. Draw out the lines, making them dark and clear, as in the example under this text. Make the lower edge of the bud rounded and smooth, creating outlines similar to a vase or a woman’s waist. They should also become dark and clear, and their outlines also uneven and very smooth. To make them really natural and realistic, let’s make their edges uneven but very smooth.ĭo the same with the outer petals. Let’s start with the inner petals, making them very dark and crisp. To make our sketch beautiful and realistic, we will gently circle the rose petals. Try not to make them too even and the same, because we are depicting a real rose, not an artificial one. The basic contours of the rose are ready, and from the step number seven we will deal with the final detailing of the rose. With the help of a few simple lines, we sketch the leaves of a rose. Let’s now draw sepals, that is, the details of the rose that are directly under the bud. Now we make the stem of the rose thicker by adding another line repeating the auxiliary guiding line of the stem from the first step. These are the largest and widest petals that extend beyond the outlines of the oval from the first step. They should literally surround all other petals. In the fourth step, we will sketch out the outermost flower petals. Each next line should be larger than the previous one, and as mentioned earlier, should embrace the previous petal. Do not forget that you need to use very light, almost transparent lines. The petals of our rose are sketched in such a way that each next line of the petal should surround the previous line.Ĭontinue to create new petals. Closer to the top of the oval (or egg) from the first step, depict a short curved line. Let’s start sketching the petals from its very core. Accurate 2230 and Accurate 2460 are arguably better Velocity and Case fill than Benchmark or AR Comp, but they are simply not as accurate as Benchmark in our thorough testing. This is where Benchmark starts to run away with the title. You can put 27 grains, for example, in a 50 grain bullet, loaded to NATO pressures, but you cannot do this with Benchmark or AR Comp because those powders start overflowing the case when you get near ~25.5-26 grains depending on what case you are using. Accurate 2230, since it is a small grain ball powder, as well as Accurate 2460, have better case fill characteristics than Benchmark or AR Comp. Benchmark is like the "perfect" fill in the case, with almost every bullet you can put in the rifle, that is 50-77 grains. And using 60 grain V-MAX, 60 grain Berger and 62 grain bullets, it still liked 24.5-25 grains of powder, which we think is still under or near max load and lights out accurate. And you would not use 25.5 grains of powder with a 55 grain bullet, because it is far more accurate and great velocity using 25.0 grains, across every gun I ever tested, every 55 grain bullet. Benchmark, using a 55 grain bullet would slightly need compression, but no big deal at all, when you use max charges of near 25.5 Grains. This is why we only tested like 30+ different powders, because many could be used, but why? When you can use 30 that are better suited? Here are the criteria we used to say what is the best: The powders with medium burn rate in the 5.56 range, such as Benchmark, H335, AA2230, AA2460, TAC, Power Pro Varmint, are better "overall" choices for wider range between 50-77 grain. Just like Precision Rifle and Varget can work for 55 grain bullets, they are not very good for that weight, and best suited for 69 grain and ABOVE in weight. Reloader 10x, or N130 might be good for say 40-50 Grain bullets, but above that, too fast. But the super super fast powders and the super slow powders in the range, although can work in 5.56 in "some" ways, they are not designed to work in all weight bullets, and thus, are recommended for different loads. Before we get into it, we just want to say, that one can "use" almost any powder for 5.56 and make it "work" all the way from N130 or Reloader 10x, which are on fast side, to the far other side, which would be SW Precision Rifle, Varget, RL15 or Alliant Power Pro 2000-MR. We have the basis now to discuss what makes a powder good for 5.56. What makes a powder stand out and overall "best"? Here is how we define "best", and this is no industry standard, this is just what we think, after basically using about ~30 different powders in 5.56. Lets discuss why this powder is stand out in the 5.56 world. |
